Na manhã desta quinta-feira (29), a Secretaria de Segurança Urbana (Sesu), por meio da Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM), realizou um café da manhã comemorativo em alusão ao Dia da Guarda Civil Municipal Feminina. O evento celebrou o reconhecimento da atuação das mulheres na segurança pública do município.
“Atualmente, a GCM conta com um efetivo de 428 guardas, sendo 63 mulheres, que desempenham papel fundamental na proteção da cidade, atuando com profissionalismo, coragem e sensibilidade no atendimento à população”, destacou o secretário da Sesu, João Alberto Corrêa Maia.
A solenidade integra as comemorações oficiais da data, instituída pela Lei Municipal nº 12.687/2022, em memória da GCM Tânia Mara Marçal Ferreira, que faleceu em 29 de janeiro de 2022, aos 51 anos. Tânia ficou paraplégica, após o ataque de criminosos à base da GCM, em 2009, e tornou-se símbolo de bravura, dedicação e compromisso com o serviço público.
Durante o evento foi realizado o sorteio de brindes às guardas-civis femininas, oferecidos por estabelecimentos parceiros, entre eles: Danny Cosméticos, Sindicato dos Servidores Públicos Municipais de Sorocaba, Associação dos Guardas Civis de Sorocaba, X3 Suplementos, Clínica Redefina-se, Magari Semijoias e Salão de Beleza L’Equipe.
A solenidade contou também com a presença da secretária da Mulher (Semul), Rosangela Perecini. “Essa homenagem reforça a importância do trabalho feminino na área da segurança pública, que se dedicam com sensibilidade às suas próprias jornadas duplas, no exercício da função e na vida familiar”, disse. “Agradeço à parceria entre a Secretaria da Mulher e a Secretaria de Segurança Urbana, no enfrentamento e combate à violência doméstica contra as mulheres”, completou.
“Parabéns a essas mulheres que com dedicação e compromisso cuidam e protegem nossa cidade de Sorocaba. Agradeço a presença de vocês tanto agora, como em toda a história da Sesu”, acrescentou o comandante da GCM de Sorocaba, Davi Dutra.
O evento reafirmou o reconhecimento institucional e social às mulheres que atuam diariamente na segurança pública, contribuindo de forma decisiva para uma cidade mais segura e justa.
